SEFALA Editor-in-Chief Shares Expertise with NWU Honours Students

SEFALA’s
Editor-in-Chief, Mr Gaoretelelwe Benjamin Phuti, was honoured to be invited by
the Department of Setswana, Humanities, at the North-West University, Mahikeng
Campus, as a guest lecturer on 28 July 2026.
Mr Phuti
delivered a lecture to Honours students enrolled in the HTIS 673 module,
Puosetsong le Puosemolao (Language in Culture and Law). He was invited
in recognition of his extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of language
within the legal field (Tiriso ya puo mo molaong). His lecture provided
students with a valuable opportunity to gain insights from his professional
knowledge and experience and to deepen their understanding of the important
relationship between language and law.
This
engagement forms part of SEFALA’s commitment to community engagement and
collaboration with institutions of higher learning. Through initiatives such as
these, SEFALA continues to contribute to the development and advancement of the
Setswana language while creating opportunities for knowledge sharing and
academic growth.
SEFALA looks
forward to participating in more engagements of this nature and strengthening
its collaboration with academic institutions and other stakeholders in the
continued promotion and development of Setswana.
